Internet TV gets 200 more channels
D-Link has just announced that it will introduce over 200 channels of Internet TV to its MediaLounge™ Wireless HD Media Player (DSM-520), enabling users to chill out to videos, music, photos and more from a PC on a TV via a simple remote control. These 200 channels will include programming from 36 U.S. channels including YouTube. Some names that will surely ring a bell are Comedy Central, AOL Video, CinemaNow, Google Video, Movielink, ROOtv Music Videos, Akimbo, MTV, Musicmatch, Napster, VH1, ESPN, FOX Sports, MSN TV Today, Reuters News, Yahoo! Sports and eBay. You'll also benefit from international programming from 14 countries, including networks from the UK, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway, Poland and Taiwan. Interested users will be pleased to note that firmware enabling active-TV technology is free of charge to existing DSM-520 customers, so do keep October 4th on your calendar free to download it. If you don't yet have the DSM-520, it retails for $249.99 a pop.
