Eee PC 901 Mod

Check out this latest mod that involves the Eee PC 901 - it is mostly unrecognizable from its original form, where it has been turned into a Windows 7-running machine that is mounted onto a cabinet, giving you easy access to recipes as well as other cookbooks stored on the electronic format. Perfect for folks who love pottering around the kitchen, although it owuld be nice to see this thing go waterproof for added effect. The tablet mod also throws in a 9" display - something that's equally rare.

Touted as the "social messaging slider" to "chag" (chat and tag) "frog" (friend and poke) and "pessage" (post and message) with a one-click access to Facebook and Myspace, hopefully it will be as appealing to the young generation as the colorful new language Moto is developing around it. Asus Eee PC User Manual Offers Insight

Asus Eee PC User Manual Offers Insight

While not many of us actually read manuals of products that we purchase, here's some food for thought - a recently uploaded Asus Eee PC 1101HA user manual indicated that this is the first Eee PC machine that comes with an 11.6" display, making it possible to include a full sized keyboard, boasting a removable battery, easy RAM access and the ability to overclock the computer from within Windows, making it possible to experience a slight improvement in speed, albeit sacrificing your battery life in the process. Another interesting feature of the Eee PC 1101HA is a multitouch trackpad which supports two-finger gestures for zooming and rotating.

Daewoo SOLO C920 Netbook

Daewoo SOLO C920 Netbook

Daewoo is back with a brand new netbook - the SOLO C920. As expected with many other netbooks in the market, this 8.9" touchscreen model also doubles up as a tablet thanks to a swiveling hinge at the bottom of the display. Specifications include an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, a 60GB hard drive and Windows XP. Needless to say, you will need to install Windows 7 or Windows Tablet PC Edition yourself if you want to take advantage of the tablet feature of this netbook. No idea on pricing or availability around the world, although the Daewoo SOLO C920 is already seeing action in South Korea right now.
