This Husqvarna Lawn Mower is fully automated and capable of presenting you with a flat, freshly mowed lawn as long as it remains within a wired perimeter. Works best in an empty lawn, but there are sensors built in to prevent it from bumping into obstacles or accidentally snipping off your shoelaces. Just like those automated vacuum cleaners, the Husqvarna will return to its dock automatically whenever it runs out of juice. A full charge works for half an acre, although your lawn's complexity will also play a major role in battery life. It even features PIN protection to prevent anyone else from using it without your express permission, and consumes around $25 of power annually. The actual price should be in the region of thousands though. Here's one more reason to stay in an apartment - there is no lawn to mow and you can always give the excuse that there's not enough room to put up with your visiting in-laws.
