AT&T To Offer $99 Netbook

AT&T To Offer $99 Netbook

Seems that AT&T will be offering folks who are clamoring for a netbook by releasing a $99 netbook model that comes with a 3G modem (in addition to a 2-year contract by most accounts) sometime this summer. The surprising thing is, this will be the first netbook available from the company that isn't powered by Windows, so you can pretty much guess Linux will be running the device from the background. The jury is still out on whether this will be a decently-powered netbook to make this an attractive bargain, or will it be a huge ripoff for unsuspecting victims?
