Samsung Opens Door To 32GB RAM Stick

Samsung Opens Door To 32GB RAM Stick

Don't you just love progress? We're extremely thrilled to hear that Samsung has managed to find a way to cram in 32GB of DDR3 RAM into a single stick - a far cry from what we have today. Obviously when such a piece of semiconductor wafer hits market shelves, it won't come cheap, but it will definitely go a long way in freeing up more space in a computing device to make it smaller overall or hold other semiconductor parts. The 32GB possibility is the result of sandwiching two 16GB modules into a single dual-die unit, allowing one to double a single stick's capacity without causing a massive change in size. No idea what the average home user will do about the remaining 28GB of memory (or so) though if they have this in their computer.
