Sony Ericsson Prototype Theft Arrested

Sony Ericsson Prototype Theft Arrested

100 handsets, including Sony Ericsson prototypes have been found in the apartment of a man accused of stealing from Sony Ericsson. He is not an employee, but was apparently a contractor for the firm. The estimated value of his stash is $90,000.

One might think that he could have sold the phones to Sony Ericsson's competitors or simply on eBay as the launches become imminent. After all, a BlackBerry 8900 was sold for 17,000 recently.

I wonder if he posted the photos on Flickr before being busted… [via gearlog via engadgetmobile].
