Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 8 Megapixel Camera Phone

Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 8 Megapixel Camera Phone

It is a pity the rest of the world outside of Japan won't be able to see the Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 in action at retail stores, as that would mean most of us have one less option when it comes to an 8 megapixel camera phone. The Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 boasts an 8.1 megapixel autofocus EXMOR CMOS sensor with LED flash, and helps you capture the best images possible thanks to Smile Shutter and Face Recognition technology, Image Stabilization and auto exposure/white balance alongside sensitivity of up to ISO 1600. Other features found on this CDMA/GSM slider handset include :-

  • 3.3" OLED display with 854 x 480 resolution

  • Bluetooth connectivity

  • Integrated GPS

  • 1Seg TV tuner

You can pick it up from KDDI in Japan in black, gold, green and pink colors sometime this March for a yet unannounced price. We're guessing it won't cost significantly more or less than the Sharp SH001.
