[CES 2009] Sorry for the tone of the language used here, as I am still waiting for the day where we'll be able to merge both passes from CES and the AVN as a single issue item. LG, as with many other companies, think that touching is where the future lies, hence showing off this M4212T-BN stretch monitor that offers touchscreen capability. It will also feature the following specifications, but don't expect full HD capability :-
- 1,366 x 768 resolution
- 500cd/m2 brightness
- 3,000:1 contrast ratio
- 9ms response time
- HDMI/DVI with HDCP
- Temperature and lamp fault sensor
- 178 degrees viewing angle
No idea on how much this will cost, but it comes with a 3-year limited warranty. You could get this for your home, but there won't be much practical use for it. Small businesses could take a gander at this and consider it to be their next big ticket item purchase as a promotion tool.
