Itronix GD6000 Rugged Notebook

Itronix GD6000 Rugged Notebook

So far, all the cops' cars that I've seen come with some sort of netbook in front, and I won't be surprised if these were built to last. Well, Itronix has just rolled out its GD6000 rugged notebook that boasts a durable chassis, spill-resistant keyboard, shock mounted hard drive and display that meets military MIL-STD 810F standards for temperature range, vibration resistance, dust ingress protection and humidity. Guess you can basically throw anything you want at it without worrying about your precious business data inside going bonkers. Best of all is, if you're rushing to work and spill your coffee all over the keyboard by accident due to entering the last corner way above your normal speeds, the GD6000 will still hum along nicely when you clean it up at the office later. Other features of the GD6000 include :-

  • 13.3" DynaVue touchscreen display

  • Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor

  • 120GB hard-drive

  • Up to 4GB RAM

Prices start from $3,495 upwards, and you can also throw in GPS and mobile broadband options if you're feeling particularly flush.
