DEMO 08 - At Your Service Session

SupportSpace
I visited the SupportSpace booth yesterday and I saw a demo of the service. I like it a lot. It could be a great replacement of traditional phone-based Tech Support services. Directly on the home page, users can see the experts’ profiles, rates and ranking. Once the user has selected an expert to help to troubleshoot her/his computer, a chat session is engaged with her/him. Using a Remote Desktop like software with no client download, the expert conduct the maintenance task ordered.

Aternity
 Aternity, an Intel Capital portfolio company, launches its platform that monitors desktop performance, application usage/usability, human productivity, and end-to-end performance of every application transaction. Any problems is identified and the computer user is notified.

Symantec
I already published about the Symantec Family Safety Initiative that helps parents with their children online safety. I like the fact that this solution requires the kids collaboration to work properly, and it does not invade their privacy too much: any content from their favorite social networking website site as private is not shown to the parents.
