Verizon is working on increasing its upload speeds for regular users of its FIOS fiber optic Internet access to a whopping 20Mbps - while that number is blazing fast compared to DSL's 0.7Mbps, this is but a theoretical number, although real world performance would definitely outpace DSL upload speeds by a large margin. This new plan will fall under the top-tier in the scheme of things, and will be priced between $90 and $140 per month with an annual plan, depending on your speed and area.
