Shinoda Plasma from Japan is currently working to make available its 142" plasma TV sometime in the second half of next year, and chances are it will piece a few smaller screens together using new technology that allows for seamless connection by sealing it between two glass substrates. This means the light emitting element does not reside within the panel itself, while a plasma tube functions as a light-emitting element and is sealed separately. It is said that the width of the joint line measures less than 1mm in the current 86" prototype, so hopefully the 142" version will not do worse. What are you going to do with a 142" plasma TV? You'd better have a living room big enough to sit far away if you want to preserve your eyes while watching your favorite movies, videos and sports programs.
