JVC work on 4k-resolution projector

JVC work on 4k-resolution projector JVC will be developing a new D-ILA projector that can hit unbelievably high resolutions of 4,096 x 2,400. Known as the DLA-SH4K projector, it will most probably succeed the 1080p plateau that we now see on HDTVs. In addition the SH4K can achieve a powerful 3,500 lumens of brightness courtesy of its xenon lamp, and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Unfortunately, the SH4K does not come with any kind of HDMI input, but will feature a quartet of Dual-Link DVI-D inputs instead that can be used to display an equal number of separate video sources simultaneously. There are two more obstacles in the way of the SH4K going mainstream - its $136,293 price tag and a power consumption of 1.5kW.
