XRCADE fitness centers for kids

XRCADE fitness centers for kids

Forget the gym - that's way too mature for kids to get involved. The XRCADE fitness center would be more relevant, offering stuff that normal gyms have such as wall climbing and recumbent bicycles, but what would really attract the little ones would be arcade games such as DDR machines as well as snowboard simulators in addition to padded obstacle courses. There are half a dozen XRCADEs operating nationwide, with plans to roll out even more in due time. According to CEO Mike Hansen, "These kids grew up in such a technology-driven environment. With video games, they have control and they have a challenge. Put them on a treadmill and they don't see any gratification. Give them a game and they get instant gratification." Having said this, Wii Fit could be a sleeper hit when released.
