Sharp unleashes new Blu-ray players
The folks at Sharp have certainly been busy lately, releasing a tsunami of Blu-ray models that will remain exclusive in Japan for now. This lineup includes a high-end 1TB hard drive model as well as an assortment of disc-only equivalents that come in different hues. All of them will carry the Aquos brand, where the BD-HDW20, BD-HDW15, BD-AV1 and BD-AV10 all boast dual HD tuners, DVD/CD backward-compatibility and the new Aquos Fami-Link or HDMI-CEC. As for the AV series, they were designed for ease of use and will head towards homes of those who have just made the jump from VCR. Amazing, I know, but there are still folks who have not yet gotten rid of their VCR players just yet since those are still working fine. No word on pricing is available though.
