Kenwood updates Media Keg line

Kenwood updates Media Keg line
Kenwood has decided to refresh their line of Media Keg digital audio players with the HD60GD9 and HD60GD9EC models. Both come with a 60GB hard drive, which is double the capacity of the HD30GB9 that was released last year. The list of supported audio formats have also been extended to include unprotected AAC in addition to mainstays MP3, WMA (DRM), and Kenwood Lossless. Features include a dual stage clear digital amp EX and Supreme EX decoder technology. The HD60GD9EC is virtually the same as the HD60GD9 although it does have the advantage of a gold-plated internal frame to provide an enhanced sound quality. Needless to say, it will be more expensive at $500 while the standard HD60GD9 retails for $475 when released in Japan next month.
