Blyk Offers Free Texts To 16-24 Year Olds

With rumors in the air that Google was developing a ad-supported service for their (rumored) handheld, it looks like they've already been beat. Well, kinda. Blyk, an invite-only service, offers 217 free texts and 43 free minutes of talking time to 16-24 year old cellphone users. As of yet, this service is only available to UK mobile users and landline calls.

Blyk sends you a SIM card in the mail and the rest is done wirelessly. If you go over your allotted time, you'll be charged a small fee of 10p for each text, and 15p for each extra minute of talking. To recieve an invite, text the word FRESH to 82595, or have a friend hook you up.
