Intel WiFi surpasses 60 miles

Intel WiFi surpasses 60 miles

Intel's new WiFi technology allows it to offer 6.5Mbps connections up to 60 miles around, hoping to increase the availability of Internet access no matter where you are. This hardware is currently installed in various developing countries like India, Panama and Vietnam, and is tipped to sell for less than $500 per node in India later this year. I, for one, would want to see this WiFi blanket appear in cities so that I don't have to search out a Starbucks wherever I go to get my free Internet.
