The OLPC XO laptop has begun to be mass produced at Quanta Computer's manufacturing facility in Changshu, China. Anticipation is high for this laptop, and Quanta Computer has even doubled its manufacturing capacity recently in order to prepare for the production of the XO laptop. Guess this piece of news is just in time for the holiday season, as children in developing nations will be able to receive an early Christmas present from Santa this year. It makes me want one as well, even if it is just for surfing and casual e-mail purposes.
