Boopsie has developed a Smart Prefix system that aims to provide a fast and simple method for searching on your cellphone, using but a few letters. You won't find many pages of results where Boopsie is concerned, since results are updated instantaneously, while typing an extra character or two will bring the result straight to the top of the page. Its performance statistics are pretty impressive - Boopsie's Smart Prefix system is said to reach more than 90% of 8.5 million Wikipedia records using 7 keystrokes at best. I just wonder how many people are actually using their cellphone as the search device of choice when finding out information. I suppose with the proliferation of 3G technology, the number is steadily increasing but most folks would still stick to a computer when they want to do hardcore searching.
