Folks in Japan who love their drama series will be able to sample the palubum released in the form of ‘Pair Movies.’ The first in a series of five 90-second drama episodes will be made available to subscribers of phones on the three main networks, with the caveat where two handsets are compulsory to view the broadcast properly. This means at least two users will need to hold their handsets side-by-side in order to check out the widescreen edition, and you can also enjoy split view shows where the male protagonist’s POV appears on one handset and the female’s on the other. The phones will communicate with each other via IR so that video can be synchronized, although we think using a much faster mode like Bluetooth would be better. Doesn't look as though this technology will head outside of Japan anytime in the future though.
