Mio Technology aims to wow the world with its own handset sometime in Q1 next year, and we do know that this phone will be powered by the Windows Mobile operating system, featuring 3.5G connectivity as well as built-in GPS support that Mio is famous for. The touch user interface is self-developed by Mitac, and other confirmed features include a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera. This would be interesting since its rival, Garmin, is also busy burning the midnight oil to bring their own Garmin phone sometime in the first half of next year. Could both handsets be non-events when they debut, considering the fact that most modern smartphones these days already boast GPS navigation?
