Asustek has finally confirmed that its long-awaited Eee PC 900 will be available in the US when May 12th rolls around. You will be able to choose from Linux and Windows versions, with the former featuring 4GB of flash memory and 16GB of SSD, while the latter has less with 4GB of flash memory and an 8GB SSD. I would've liked to see both have the same amount of SSD, but I guess that's not to be since Bill Gates isn't benelovent enough to make the Windows XP licesen free. Both models retail for $549.99 a pop and will feature a very welcome 8.9" display.
