Samsung looks set to amaze the world yet again by revealing an 8 megapixel phone camera, touting it to be the smallest in the world to date. Being able to capture 8 megapixel shots, it has crammed that ability into a chip that measures roughly as wide as a coin in addition to being a third of an inch thick. This makes it far thinner and more compact even when compared to today's 5 megapixel phone cameras. In addition, this Samsung sensor is also more powerful since it is able to capture images at up to ISO 1600 light sensitivity, accompanied by anti-blur and noise correction, and face and smile detection for portraits. Production of this new 8 megapixel sensor will begin this May, which means we ought to see 8 megapixel camera phones getting more common at the end of this year.
