United Pepper supports Fair Trade

United Pepper supports Fair Trade

[CES 2008] We've all heard of sweatshops in the east that produce goods at a dirt cheap cost only to be sold to gullible folk at an extremely outrageous price. United Pepper from Europe aims to change that mindset, and the company has released a sustainable design webcam known as Lili. Designed in Belgium and manufactured in Vietnam, all harmful materials during manufacturing has been removed save for the essential parts only. It uses recycled packaging for a reduced CO2 impact with body components comprising sand, cotton and kapok. Lili captures the environment in 1.3 megapixel glory, while the built-in microphone works just fine for video calls. There is also the United Pepper Oscar USB Hub that comes with a quartet of USB 2.0 ports. In the pipeline is a 54-in-1 memory card reader which you can check out in the photo gallery. The Lili Webcam and Oscar USB Hub will retail for $39.90 and $24.90 respectively. If you want to do your bit for the environment, going green with United Pepper is one way of going about it.
