knfbReader Mobile Reads Out Loud

The blind and dyslexic now have a way to listen to printed words, thanks to the new knfbReader Mobile which brings together a Nokia N82 smartphone and technology from Kurzweil, resulting in the smallest text-to-speech reading device to date. The knfbReader Mobile allows users to take images of printed materials (menus, signs, notes) with the N82's high resolution camera, where it will then process the captured image to read the material out aloud at the touch of a button in a synthesized voice. None of the N82's other features will be disabled in anyway, so you can still enjoy MP3 playback and GPS navigation on the go.
