China manufacturers seem to come up with the weirdest names for their portable media players, and the
MP4-969 FR(8) is no different. Why not dub it the Xylophone instead as it is much easier on the tongue and resembles its namesake as well? Anyways, this PMP from SZ Telstar does the usual without much fuss - MPEG-4 support, XviD, AVI, MP3 and synchronized lyris support, a 2.4" 65k color TFT LCD display, an integrated FM radio, an e-book reader and gaming emulation. They've even thrown in eight EQ settings, but chances are the difference would be minimal. I suppose folks living in Third World and developing countries would find this appealing, while the rest of us geeks stick to our iPods and Zens.
