The Manuscriptum is a portable Linux PC that tips the scales at a mere 2 pounds, measuring just 7.1" x 4.4" x 1.9". It is powered by an AMD Geode LX800 500MHz processor and comes equipped with an 80GB hard drive, 1,920 x 1,400 resolution, 512MB RAM (expandable up to 1GB), and is pre-loaded with Debian Linux with a KDE desktop environment. It can be used out of the box since other essential software like Firefox, Open Office and the Foxit PDF reader have also been included. Would you fork out $650 for this, or would you rather stick to the OLPC?
