Everex is fresh from bringing us a $198 Linux desktop this week, and has plans to introduced Linux laptops that will retail for less than $300 next year. These laptops will come in a wide range, with choices starting from 12.1" all the way to 17" displays. Needless to say, they will run on the Google OS that is built upon Ubuntu Linux 7.10 just like the recently released gPC. In addition, each laptop will include icons that offer one-click access to various websites such as Facebook and all manner of Google Web applications. No idea on the exact release date, but you can be sure at that price point, these will probably fly off the shelves in no time at all.
