3D Cube to hit market next year

3D Cube to hit market next year

eMDT will be launching its 3D head mounted display known as 3D Cube in Korea sometime during Q1 2008, but it will be on display at CES 2008 in Las Vegas. This headset boasts VGA resolution at 640 x 480 pixels and will feature 3D Stereo SoC, making it compatible with a wide range of devices from iPods to cellphones, portable media players, and DVD players among others. It also comes with enhanced compatibility of 3D video content, supporting both 'Side by side’ and ‘Field Sequence’. A chip was used instead of a board in order to save space and maintain portability. No word on pricing yet, but it is best you have a packet of Panadol nearby just in case you can't take too much 3D action in one go.
