Sony has given its e-book reader, the PRS-505 an update that at first glance looks the same as its predecessor, but what's more important is to hold onto the adage not to judge a book by its cover. The new PRS-505 features a next generation electronic paper display that boasts superior response times and a higher contrast ratio, complete with double the levels of gray scale at 8. It will be slimmer as well, and come with a more intuitive button layout that is more user friendly.
