Samsung SDI has announced today that they expect to be the first company to develop a wVGA (800x480 pixels) OLED display aimed at mobile devices. That is far superior to today’s 320x240 OLED screens. OLED has many very desirable properties: manufacturers can build thinner, power-efficient displays with a better image quality. The only downside is how difficult the manufacturing process is.
