HP has dipped its toes into the high end segment of tablet PCs and large screen notebooks in Taiwan by launching the 17" Compaq 8710w as well as the 12" Compaq 2710p tablet PC. HP forsees higher demand for notebooks and tablet PCs in the coming year, hence the introduction of this new range. You'll have to dig deep though as the Compaq 2710p and 8710w retails for $2,021 and $3,018 respectively. There is word that HP will unveil 20" monsters by the end of this year, so now would be a good time to start saving your dough.
