You know all those underwater world walkways where everything aquatic surrounds you? Well, folks in Beijing will be able to experience something like that with a long overhead LED panel located at a new shopping district displaying video of fish swimming along a coral reef. This screen measures a massive 2,296 feet by 88 feet, and lays claim to being the largest of its kind in Asia. I wonder just how much power this thing consumes, and the practicality of such an idea. A great way to improve on it would be to have scanners going through the entire walkway detecting rubbish on the ground - the more junk there is, the less fish and more dead corals would be shown. Now that'd kick some civic consciousness into folks from simply chucking their rubbish wherever they want to.
