The key-fob system found on the Toyota Prius has been successfully cracked - all it takes is for the thief to get within range of your RFID keyfob and breaking the 64-bit cipher used. This can be done in approximately an hour, but chances are no thief will utilize this method just yet - after all, stealing your keys would be much easier especially if you're a careless person. This same anti-lock cipher can also be found in Chrysler, Daewoo, Fiat, General Motors, Honda, Volvo, Volkswagen, and Jaguar vehicles. Guess the shorter amount of time required to crack this keyfob means such an attack will be more likelike outside, so manufacturers had better start playing the catch up game.
