Remember those ant farm science projects? There is now the Antquarium that does away with soil, using nutrient-filled gel instead. All you need to do is gather your own ants (which could be a rather painful experience if you go about doing it the wrong way) and place them inside the Antquarium. After some time, these ants will establish their own social structure, digging holes and establishing colonies inside a rather slim neon blue rectangle. Word has it that the ants won't last very long in this though, so if you don't have any emotional attachment to ants, the Antquarium could make a suitable hobby to keep you occupied.
