BAE Systems have come up with a new line of lightweight, modular and ergonomic helmet-mounted displays which cater for rotary-wing pilots. This new display has been dubbed "Q-Sight", and can be retro-fitted to existing gear. In addition, it is also compatible with night-vision goggles and can be attached to virtually any helmet, making it suitable for a variety of missions on the battlefield. Q-Sight uses a plug-and-play system that fuses pilot instrumentation, situational awareness, and sensor data in a comfortable form, minimizing both eye and neck strain while maximizing pilot mobility. Output on an LCD device measures jus 1/8" thick, doing away with the need for intermediate lenses. You can attach this to either left or right sides of the helmet, depending on eye dominance at relatively low cost.
