Nokia N97 Hits The FCC

Nokia N97 Hits The FCC

Weve been waiting for it, and Nokias N97 has finally seen fit to pay a visit to the FCC, albeit in pink, though were certainly not complaining. The device sports GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA band II, FM transmitter, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A user manual is also available, of course. Its not important, but were just curious whether the device will actually be available in pink when it hits retail stores. From Uberphones.

Japanese Child-Robot With a Biomimetic Body

This child-robot has been talked about before. What's new is the footage of the robot in action. If you missed it this is CB2, the "Child Robot with Biomimetic Body" from the Osaka University. By interacting with humans, the robot is supposed to develop social skills by imitating the facial expressions, for example. The robot has an array of sensors that can process auditory, tactile or visual feedback. There's one video below and another one with more technical details here.

Howard Stern Chooses Blackberry, Proves That Apps Are King For Smartphones

Howard Stern Chooses Blackberry, Proves That Apps Are King For Smartphones

We don't suppose that Howard Stern has much of an influence when it comes to which smartphone you buy, but there was quite a bit of noise last week when people thought that he might pick the Palm Pre, after Palm made one available him. Well, it turns out that H. Stern went for a Blackberry Bold instead reportedly because the Pre could not connect to Lotus Notes. Howard Stern praised how cool the Bold was on his radio show. He added that if the Palm Pre doesn't sell, it might be over for Palm. This is clearly not the buzz that Palm hoped for, but I guess that it's a risk that they had to take. H. Stern is a long-time Palm fan.

Sonora Sound Table

Sonora Sound Table

If you're feeling rather flush and would like to surprise the missus with something nice, might we suggest adding the Sonora Sound Table to your wish list? After all, this treatment table boasts a Pro Salon Cuvee with candlelight stain, SO Sound Acoustic resonance therapy sound system, built-in Bose Hi-Fi stereo speakers and a security mounted iPod for your listening pleasure. The SoundHeart transducers help generate a powerful harmonic flow of full spectrum sound waves, helping you relax and heal yourself even further after a long, hard day at the office. We can't wait to see which spa will actually include this in their next upgrade cycle, as that is the reason why a security mounted programmable iPod nano has been thrown into the $6,195 mix.
