Firefox Releases 3.1 Browser In Second Beta

Firefox Releases 3.1 Browser In Second Beta

Firefox has just made available a second beta of its 3.1 browser to testers, which is pretty fast considering the first beta was released a mere seven weeks ago. This time round, you will find new features including the much desired Privacy Mode that allows users to surf online without leaving a trace of their footsteps on the computers - something most men would love to have, we presume. Google Chrome already has this feature known as Incognito mode, but that's besides the point. Firefox claims that 3.1 will be much faster thanks to a new Javascript engine known as TraceMonkey that will be enabled by default for Web content. Other features include Web Worker Threads, downloadable fonts for site authors, greater support for Acid3 and CSS.
